Designer Spectacles
If you are in the market for designer spectacles, there are many to choose from. Perhaps the first thing to do
when buying designer spectacles is think about how much you want to spend. Designer spectacles are not cheap by any
standard.
Designer Spectacles
It seems that every fashion house is making its own designer spectacles these days, Prada, Police, IC Berlin,
Ray Ban, Chanel, Oakley, Alain Mikli, Dior and Gucci, for example . Even firms that have nothing to do with fashion
are bringing out their own designer spectacles like Dunlop and Pirelli.
People like to wear designer spectacles whether the designer frames hold prescription lenses or sunglasses,
which can also be formed to a prescription. in fact, when people talk about designer glasses or designer
spectacles, they are only talking about the frames.
Standard frames cost anywhere between fifteen and fifty pounds or dollars whereas designer frames cost more like
one hundred and fifty to two hundred and fifty.
The lenses may or may not be included. With sunglasses standard lenses are generally supplied with the frames,
but with prescription lenses they are normally sold separately. You can buy designer spectacles in many shops on
the high street and in many department stores.
However, the cheapest places to buy designer spectacles are from on line retailers with names like
spectacles direct or glasses direct or even designer spectacles direct.
You will find quite a selection of on line retailers of designer spectacles. There will not only be the .com and
.org versions, but you may even have such an on line retailer in your own country - a .co.au, or a .co.nz, for
example.
If you do have a local on line retailer of designer spectacles it is worth using them, rather than sending your
order half way around the world.
If you deal with someone in your own country, you have easier means of contacting the retailer in case anything
goes wrong and you will be more acquainted with your legal rights if anything goes really wrong. Not that it is
likely too, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
One big problem with buying expensive designer spectacles is the risk of fraud. The profit margins are so high
on these designer frames than there are millions of copies around.
In fact, many of the copies come out of the same Chinese factories that the originals came from, but they are
slightly different and unauthorized.
These unauthorized designer spectacles often find an outlet in markets throughout the world but particularly in
Asia and Mediterranean countries where the laws on copyright infringement are not so vigorously enforced. eBay does
its best to stamp out copyright infringement on its on line auction web site, but there are still plenty of
examples of fraud on there too.
There is a great temptation to sell fraudulent copies of plastic Gucci designer frames for half price at 70
pounds or dollars when they cost only a dollar or two to make.
So, it is a toss up, you can either get your designer spectacles for half price and risk buying a worthless copy
or you can pay full price from a reputable store and have a far better chance of getting the real designer
spectacles that you paid for.
